Mayoyao, Philippines – Four people died while more than 59 others including the driver were injured when the dump truck they were riding fell off a cliff in Sitio Linayan, Barangay Nalbu in Mayoyao, Ifugao late Saturday afternoon.

The identified the deceased as Rhodalyn Bongyo Homecgoy, 22; Sherief Jude Bumattan Naila, 32; Joel Ammayao Nabad-ao, 21; and Chrysler Feliciano Abbugao, 22.

Of the 59 injured, some are in critical condition and were brought to a hospital in Santiago City and Veterans Hospital, Bayombong Nueva Vizcaya. The remaining  are at the Mayoyao District Hospital.

The truck driver, identified as Redgie Lumayna, also bore minor injuries.

The accident occurred at about 4 p.m. Saturday.

The victims, who were coming from a wedding celebration in Barangay Alimit, were riding the truck owned by Mayor Ronnie Lumayna when the vehicle fell off the 100-meter cliff.
